What to Expect When You Order a New Garage Door

Getting a new garage door doesn’t have to be complicated. Below is a breakdown of our process from start to finish — including the free estimate, timeline, installation day, and custom options. If you have any questions at any point, our friendly staff is here to help.

Our process is simple. A technician will come to your property, take the necessary onsite measurements, discuss your design preferences, determine the best manufacturer for your needs and prepare a written estimate outlining your options.

The estimate is sent via email with an approval or denial button. If you have additional questions after receiving the estimate then our friendly staff is available to help, please contact the office. Once the approval has been granted, the next step is a deposit. After the deposit has been paid then we can move forward to order your new garage door from the manufacturer.

Currently, our average wait time from deposit to door delivery is approximately 2-4 weeks. Once your new garage door has arrived at our workshop, our quality control team will thoroughly inspect the door and verify that it is ready for installation. This garage door inspection happens promptly and usually the same day.

Then the next step will be a phone call from our staff to schedule the installation appointment. Our installation appointments are set for a 4-hour block of time and in most cases are scheduled the next business day or soon after.

The average wait time for a new garage door is 2-4 weeks but this depends completely on the type of door being ordered.

This process can happen much sooner if the new garage panels are already in our warehouse inventory. We do keep some of our best selling new garage doors in stock.

Our experience has taught us which doors are the most common for our local area, so we do our best to have inventory on hand, both long panel and short panel styles that are HOA compliant garage doors for our nearby communities.

If you are ordering a custom door or specialty design options then additional time may be required for fabrication by us or the manufacturer.

On the day of the garage door installation our technician will be scheduled for a 4-hour block of time, preferably in the morning hours.

You will receive a text or email alert after he has loaded the service truck and is dispatched to you.

Our complete installation also includes take down and haul away of the old garage door.

After the new garage door is installed, if you have opted for the door to be painted, then another appointment will be scheduled to return to paint. This is necessary to allow the new garage door to settle after being newly installed.

The painting appointment will be completed soon after installation usually 2-3 days, but requires at least 24 hours.

Yes, we do that! We have skilled craftsmen that have specialized training in carpentry, fabrication and welding.

These talented team members can create custom door designs, like a wood overlay or fabricate the necessary metal framework for specialty glass roll up doors.
